Talent Show

Friday, May 31st 1:30

A group of Good Shepherd students have put together a committee and are organizing a talent show. All students of all levels are invited to share their talents with us. The show will begin at 1:30. Sign up forms are due by May 22nd.


Crusader Band Spring Fling Sock Hop

Friday, May 17th, 7:00 p.m.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Spring Fling Sock Hop! The Crusader Band played songs from the 40's to the present for everyone's dancing pleasure. Thank you to PTL for providing ice cream and flavored sodas that fit the theme prefectly!


Environmental Author Visiting

Tuesday, May 21st

Thank you to Mark Newman, author of "Sooper Yooper", for visiting Good Shepherd's Kindergarten through 8th grade students on Tuesday, May 21st. Newman is announcing his latest book, "Sooper Yooper: The Quest of the Blue Crew. This book coincides with the interactive Great Lakes school program he presents during school tours througout the Midwest. Thank you for teaching our Crusaders all about the changing Great Lakes Region!


Detroit Historical Museum Field Trip

Tuesday, June 4th

Students in grades 3rd-8th will be visiting the Detroit Historical Museum on Tuesday, June 4th. We look forward to experiencing the Michigan History exhibit as well as the Kid Rock exhibit.


Huckleberry Railroad

Wednesday, June 5th

Students in Kindergarten through 4th grade will be traveling to the Huckleberry Railroad to experience a day full of trains.


Kindergarten Graduation

Thursday, June 6th 10 am

Our Kindergarten students are ready to move to 1st grade! Please join us as these young children close the door on Kindergarten and enter the next phase of their educational journey.


Honors Night

Thursday, June 6th 7:00 pm

We invite all parents and grandparents to please join us as we honor our 1st-8th grade students' acamics and to celebrate our graduating 8th graders.


Field Day

Friday, June 7th

You will not want to miss our last day! Parents may join us at 10 am for chapel. Immediately following chapel, We will head outside for a morning of fun! All food and festivites are being graciously sponsored by PTL. Students will be released following lunch.


Releasing of the Salmon!

On May 7th we successfully released approximately 100 salmon into the Clinton River! It was a fantastic end to the year long process of raising the salmon from eggs to adult fish! Thank you to everyone who helped with this project inlcuding our sponsor, Plymouth Technologies.


Snow White & the 7 1/2 Dwarfs

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's drama production a huge success! A special thank you to our director and producer!


We are an Oakland County Green School!

Through efforts of our school, staff, and students we received the Emerald Level! Some of the projects that we have worked on this school year include maintaing our recyling efforts, continued work on the wetland, reminders to turn off the lights, and planting a garden. Great job everyone!

Hollywood Market Cards Make a Difference

Thank you to everyone who used their Hollywood Market Cards this past school year. With your help we collected 20,456 points! That is double from last year! Awesome! This year we are getting a set of jumbo magnifiers, a set of swing n'hops, a butterfly pavilion, and a model of the heart. These items span from Preschool thru 8th grade, for all to share and use. Thank you so much for your support! Please keep your cards since they will be usable for next school year.


PopTabs for Ronald McDonald House

Collecting Continues

Good Shepherd Lutheran continues to collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald house for Detroit. After a presentation by the representative from the Detroit Ronald McDonald house, students helped load up the tabs collected so far. To date we have donated 79,800 pop tabs! Some pop tabs even came from the Detroit Tigers spring training! Join us in collecting tabs to help local families!
